Storyline

Nerve-racking mystery about two parents in a car on their way to a daughter in need.

A phone call from their daughter wakes Maddie and Frank in the middle of the night. She’s been in an accident. The couple jump in the car and from that moment on, we follow the parents in real time as they try to figure out what happened.

This new sleeper hit by director Babak Anvari (Under the Shadow) is a nerve-racking thriller set almost entirely in a car. Everything hangs on the acting chops of Rosamund Pike and Matthew Rhys, who propel the story forward while the action takes place off-screen. Mother Maddie is a health professional who tries to give her daughter medical advice; father Frank wants to stay rational and provides legal (and potentially criminal) instructions. But neither of them is prepared for what actually happened to their daughter. Hallow Road is an original concept thriller that dares to take the occasional odd turn.
